Mossley Hill Childcare is located on the doorstep of Liverpool’s Sefton Park. Our home from home is one of the original gatehouses, located opposite the boating lake. Classified as a Grade I listed park by English Heritage, the magnificent 200 acre green space provides the best natural resource, any nursery could ask for.
We have been providing daycare to local families since 2007. Our experienced staff are dedicated to providing the very best environment for children to develop and learn. Our unique location allows us to deliver a curriculum that immerses children in nature, developing social skills, wellbeing and physical development through outdoor learning activities.
We provide high quality childcare in our specially equipped nursery for children aged three months to five years old. Our vibrant and thriving nursery was rated GOOD by Ofsted in January 2023.
Under new management since September 2024, we’ve been excited to welcome a new chapter at Mossley Hill Childcare, with fresh leadership and a vibrant vision for the future. Our Provision
At Mossley Hill Childcare we offer:
- Monday to Friday – 52 weeks of the year
- We are closed for Bank Holidays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day
- Full day sessions from 8.00am to 6.00pm
- Half day sessions available from 8.00am to 1.00pm or 1.00pm to 6.00pm
- Delicious, healthy and nutritious meals. All allergies and religious requirements catered for

We were nervous about sending our little boy to nursery at 9 months old, but in a short space of time he has settled really well thanks to the fab care of the team. Everyone is so friendly and it’s clear to see how much they genuinely care for and bond with the little ones - every member of the team knew our son by name after just the first week, even those who aren’t always in his room which we found so lovely. The staff team do a fab job in the Daisy Room and we have to give a special thanks to his key worker who he’s bonded with so much. His face lights up when he sees her and we’re so grateful that he’s so well taken care of when he’s away from us! The app is great too - we love seeing photos of what all the kids have been up to during the day and for the communication from management. Our daughter has attended Mossley Hill Childcare for just over a year from the age of 2. In that time, she has formed strong bonds with the staff and other children. Her days are always full of activity and experiences she wouldn't encounter at home. We always feel informed as to what she has been doing during the day, from the food she has eaten to her early years progress and the funny things she has said. We find the staff always really pleasant and helpful and have had a great all-round experience with the nursery.

My son started at Mossley Hill childcare in September 2024 aged 2 and he was quickly identified as having SEN needs by the staff at nursery. They were quick to act on ways that they could support him and also us as a family. The staff have been absolutely wonderful with him, and I feel that I can come to them at any time with any concerns or suggestions of strategies that we are using at home. It very much feels like an open door which is very comforting to me as a parent. The staff have gone above and beyond for him and to see him happy means the world to me! The nursery has a lovely warm feeling and all of the staff that I've met have been absolutely lovely and you can see that they care about the children so much.
